Following the merger with Total, the operations of Total and Elf were merged in Mauritius. As a consequence, Currimjee Jeewanjee became a major local shareholder of Total Mauritius Ltd, the second largest energy company in Mauritius. Total Mauritius Ltd which started operations in 1956, distributes LPG through its distribution network and petroleum products through its 48 filling stations.
