Accounting Associate

Island Life Assurance & Co. Ltd is looking for an Accounting Associate to be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Finance department.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure proper logging of all incoming and outgoing document relevant to finance.
- Assist in preparing bank transfer based on working documents
- Upload payment on Bank payment portal
- Plan and submit dispatch of documents
- Ensure that all creditors’ invoices are filed properly with relevant Payment documents as per filing system
- Send remittance advice wherever applicable for creditors’ payments
- Proceed with initiating PI on Unifi
- Reconcile and raise PI on Unifi for Petty Cash
- Follow up on licences renewal and on the respective formalities requirements
- Liaise with banks, auditors and local authorities whenever required
- Address financial issues and inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
- Comply to approved procedures, SOPs and SLAs
- Completeness of all finance transactions timely and accurately
- Financials assignments as per set deadlines
- Any cognate duties as assigned from time to time
Qualifications and Experience
- ACCA Level 1 or Diploma in Accounting & Finance, or any other equivalent qualification
- Minimum 1 year experience
- Demonstrated knowledge as user of MS Office and Accounting software
