Our Telecoms & Technology cluster focuses on innovation and customer-centric services. Its flagship, Emtel Limited, pioneered mobile telecommunications in the region in 1989. Thanks to sustained investment in cutting-edge technology, the company has grown into Mauritius' most advanced operator, offering the widest 5G coverage in the country. In 2024, Emtel made history by becoming the first telecom company to be listed on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius.

 

Another key company in this cluster is MC Vision Ltd, the leading provider of digital pay-TV in Mauritius. It was established through a strategic partnership between Canal+ Group and Currimjee Group.

 

Lastly, Seejay Cellular Ltd, the cluster’s investment holding company, holds shares in Bharti Airtel Ltd and Airtel Africa PLC, two leading and trusted providers of ICT services across India and Africa.
