About the Role

 

The Head of Metric will lead the company through its next phase of transformation and growth. This role will have full P&L responsibility and be accountable for delivering strategic, operational, and financial objectives.



Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver financial performance targets and ensure strong cost discipline, governance and compliance.
  • Optimise capital allocation and strengthen working capital through effective procurement, inventory, logistics and credit control.
  • Position the company as the preferred partner for contractors, resellers and retailers, while driving customer-centricity across all channels.
  • Lead reseller acquisition and activation, oversee pricing and incentives, and ensure strong adoption of the B2B App.
  • Elevate showroom and retail experience to improve service quality and conversion rates.
  • Drive brand visibility through impactful marketing, digital campaigns, trade activations and loyalty programs.
  • Translate strategy into operational excellence across all functions — procurement, warehousing, logistics and sales.
  • Lead digital transformation, implement lean and automated processes, and use data analytics for real-time business insights.
  • Identify and develop new revenue streams and long-term strategic growth opportunities.
  • Build and inspire a high-performing and engaged team, fostering a culture that reflects CJ values and encourages learning, collaboration and ownership.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A Holder of a degree in sales or marketing or equivalent
  • A leader having held a Senior management and leadership role for at least 5 years
  • Ability to analyze data and sales numbers, and have strong decision-making abilities
  • Minimum 4 years’ leadership experience in commercial or operational management within construction materials, retail, or distribution
  • Proven P&L management experience with a track record of delivering financial turnaround or growth
  • Familiarity with ERP, CRM, and B2B digital platforms
  • Demonstrated success in sales growth, channel development, and cost optimization
  • A Powerful communicator with an ability to impact and influence at all levels
  • A Change champion, bringing innovation and creativity in business offerings, and
  • A self-motivated and customer focused individual who is able to guide, direct, and coach employees.
