We Are Hiring – Senior Manager – Hospitality & Strategic Projects

 

Currimjee Jeewanjee and Company Limited is seeking a highly experienced and strategic professional to join our Group as Senior Manager – Hospitality & Strategic Projects.

 

The successful candidate will act on behalf of the Group in overseeing all hospitality-related projects, including the newly signed Hotel Management Agreement (HMA) with Constance Hotels & Resorts. The role is critical in ensuring that ownership interests are safeguarded and that strategic and financial objectives are consistently achieved.

 

This position will also support the Managing Director on broader hospitality initiatives and selected strategic projects across the portfolio.



Key Responsibilities

Hospitality Asset Oversight

 

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Group and the operator on all CJ-related matters.
  • Monitor operator performance against agreed commercial, financial, operational, and brand standards.
  • Review monthly and quarterly performance reports, budgets, forecasts, and annual business plans.
  • Identify performance gaps and ensure the timely implementation of corrective measures.
  • Ensure ownership priorities are clearly communicated and executed (guest experience, asset protection, profitability, sustainability).
  • Participate in strategic discussions on positioning, pricing, F&B concepts, and operational enhancements.
  • Support CAPEX planning, asset improvement initiatives, and long-term development strategies.

 

Strategic Hospitality Initiatives

 

  • Oversee and coordinate the Le Chaland Residences project.
  • Evaluate new hospitality opportunities, including acquisitions, partnerships, and developments.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, financial modelling, benchmarking, and business case preparation.
  • Support operator selection processes and contribute to contract negotiations where required.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to Group leadership on trends, growth opportunities, and performance optimisation.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

 

Project Management & Governance

 

  • Manage strategic projects from concept through implementation.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and key deliverables.
  • Identify and mitigate risks while ensuring disciplined project execution.
  • Prepare executive reports, presentations, and Board documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with HMA terms and partnership agreements.
  • Oversee operational audits, asset inspections, and the approval of key CAPEX and OPEX decisions.

 

 

 

Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 7–10 years’ experience in hospitality operations, asset management, consulting, or hotel development.
  • Strong understanding of hotel financials, KPIs, P&L management, cash flow, and commercial drivers.
  • Experience working with hotel operators and within HMA frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with a pragmatic and hands-on approach.
  • Strong project management discipline and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
