Currimjee Jeewanjee (CJ) has been proudly supporting the World Environment Day over the last years.
This year’s theme is #generationrestoration with a focus on resetting our relationship with nature and this will also mark the formal launch of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration 2021 – 2030.
In line with our value of Responsibility and our purpose, we are strongly committed to the preservation of our ecosystems and this is reflected through a number of initiatives we have been supporting over the past years including:
- The Mauritian Wildlife Foundation’s conservation programs to preserve our unique endangered fauna and flora.
- The ecological restoration of the Citadel since 2015 with the collaboration of the NGO Friends of Environment. With the participation of around 900 employees, more than 5,000 native plants have been introduced on the historical site.
- The marine restoration projects such as coral farming with the UOM and mangrove planting campaigns with ELI Africa
Preserving, restoring and regenerating our ecosystems is key for the next generation. Together, let’s Reimagine, Recreate and Restore our ecosystems!
We Care!
