On 18 September, colleagues participated in a clean-up campaign at Ebene City Centre, contributing to the collection of 1,625.5 kg of waste, including 193 kg of e-waste and 72.5 kg of recyclable materials. On 22 September, a second team joined the clean-up along the Belle Rose river banks, helping to collect 40 kg of waste, including 21 kg of recyclable materials.
While these initiatives demonstrate the impact of collective action, they are part of a broader commitment to sustainability that guides our actions throughout the year.
Across the Group, we are advancing a circular economy approach by:
- Developing rPET solutions made from 100% recycled PET
- Extending the lifespan of Airbox devices through repair and refurbishment initiatives
- Responsibly managing operational waste through registered recycling partners
- Encouraging employee participation in circular economy initiatives, including clothes donation campaigns with The Good Shop
- Running voluntary e-waste collection programmes since 2019
- Delivering e-waste and plastic pollution awareness programmes in schools with Mission Verte
- Supporting annual community clean-up campaigns across Mauritius
Because meaningful change is not just about what we collect in a day, but about the habits, partnerships and long-term actions that help build a cleaner and more sustainable Mauritius for all.
